I did some major housecleaning yesterday because we had company last night, so the house is in good shape today. Not much decluttering, just lots of regular cleaning.
I've worked a bit on my son's closet today:
- emptied two boxes of baby/toddler clothes, recycled the boxes, packed the clothes up for donating or passing along to my sister's kids
- filled a trash bag of random packaging, stained/unwearable clothes
It's not much, but every little bit helps!
I also came up with a plan that involves moving some furniture between rooms. The end result will give both kids more storage space and won't cost us a penny. Win-win. Now, I just have to find the time to get everything cleaned out and moved around!
What have YOU decluttered this week? (Leave your links in the comments, please, as Mr Linky is currently out of service.) Leave your link below so we can cheer each other on!

Decluttered this week: the kitchen pantry. I had just done
a major clean-out back in January, but the pantry was looking messy again. It's amazing how quickly that space seems to get out of control!. This time it only took me about half an hour to whip it back into shape... and that included the time to break down all the boxes.
TRASHED: several packages of stale crackers, some expired drink mixes, etc.
RECYCLED: about 20 cardboard boxes-- I got rid of excess packaging where I could, and I recycled the boxes from anything that had to be trashed
What about you? What did you toss this week?

WHEW! After a super-crazy-busy Spring, I can finally take a breath. The last of the big family events was this past weekend, and my work situation has finally settled down, so I won't be working 6 days a week any more. The recent sunny weather perfectly matches my mood!
TOSSED: Sunday night I got energized and cleaned out my bathroom cabinet on the spur of the moment. It didn't even occur to me to take pictures, but trust me, it's a huge improvement.
- I filled half a white kitchen garbage bag with outdated beauty products and general junk. (Most were remnants from my early couponing days, when I'd buy anything that was a great deal. These days, I only buy the things I'll definitely use, which saves us even more money!)
- I put all the rarely-used products (hot oil treatments, spare box of hair color, etc) into one big square basket in the back.
- My hair dryer and curling iron found a new home in an old plastic drawer unit that fits under the sink., and my make-up case nestles neatly on top.
- There's now a lot less stuff cluttering up my bathroom counter= yay!
I have a huge list of projects I want to tackle now that the crazy season is over in my house. I hope you'll join me here each week and share your decluttering/organizing progress, as well!

My pots and pans cupboard was a ten minute job-- it mostly just needed to be reorganized. I did rehome a few things and get rid of the broken lid organizer, but mostly, it was just a matter of straightening this cupboard out:
It's funny to how something so simple as a little straightening up can make the space seem so much bigger and much more pleasant to use each day!

I've been working on my craft room for-ev-er. Yesterday I was in a rotten mood... hormone fueled, mad, you get the picture. So I channeled that anger into finishing up the room. EVERYTHING is now in white banker's boxes, sorted by category. Two large black trash bags went out. Sure, there's more sorting and purging that can eventually be done within the boxes... but wow, what a difference. The boxes are stacked along one wall-- 23 in total. The craft table is clear, the floor is clear. It's a great feeling!
